Ivins is a city in Washington County, Utah. Ivins is a rural community located a few miles northwest of St. George, the county seat.

Ivins is located on the edge of Snow Canyon State Park, which offers a lot of recreational opportunities such as hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, and camping amidst a spectacular environment of desert mountains, canyons and unique cinder cones, lava tubes, lava flows, and sand dunes.

According to the United States Census Bureau of 2000, Ivins has a population of more than 4,500 people. The city has a total area 10.3 square miles(0.1 sq. miles water) with a population density of over 400 people per square mile. It is located at altitudes of over 3,000 feet above sea level.

The racial demographics of Ivins are predominately white, accounting for about 94% of the population.
